The Board of the 69th Belgrade International Book Fair convened today for its first meeting, thereby officially commencing preparations for one of Serbia’s most significant cultural events and setting out the initial framework for its organization. The Board is composed of Miodrag Ivanović, Nenad Milenović, Maja Radonić, and Jelena Gajić, and is chaired by Nikola Banković.
This year, the Belgrade International Book Fair will take place from 23 to 31 October, with opening hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Republic of Tunisia will be this year’s Guest of Honor Country.
The Belgrade International Book Fair is one of the oldest and most important literary events in the region. This occasion gathers leading publishers from Serbia as well as from many countries worldwide, to present their annual publishing collections.
The Fair’s primary mission is to create a platform that provides publishers, authors, booksellers, librarians, book distributors, multimedia companies, and other stakeholders with opportunities to create contacts, exchange experiences, conclude business agreements, and cultivate both professional and cultural collaboration.
